Many of you don't know that prior to starting ArtsyBug Studio, my "hobby" was songwriting. I love writing songs! The first song I wrote was when I was 15 years old but that song is long lost in my memory. Around 12 years ago I started writing songs again--this time recording them. My kids were growing up and hanging with dad wasn't as cool as hanging with friends or playing video games in their room. So I used some of this time to write and record music.
Let me explain that I am not a trained musician or singer. I've never had a vocal, music, or singing lesson. I call my style raw for this reason. The songs I wrote, in my biased opinion, are very good with stories many can relate to. I think some of my musical influences are music from the 70s, country, folk.....give it a listen!
Now, everyone can hear my songs on your favorite streaming service. My songs are live on Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, Napster (yes, it does still exist--who knew?) and many others! One nice thing is that by listening to my music on one of these streaming services, I get a little change in the pocket while it doesn't cost you any extra beyond what you might pay with a music service (some of them have free versions). For every 140-250 song streams...I get a WHOLE DOLLAR!
